MoshMallow have released their new single “Hey, Little Rotting Rat”, now out with an official video. The track features Gareth Reed of Human Nebula and lands just ahead of the band’s appearance at Saturday’s Wacken Metal Battle Africa heat at Railways Cafe in Pretoria.

The track was produced by Ian van der Merwe, with the video filmed by Kayleigh Mocke at Studio V in Johannesburg and assisted by Estian Smith. Marty du Plessis also handled creative and visual direction, while Reign Wheeler and Philipa Otto took care of makeup and hair.

The lyrics are blunt from the start. “Hey, Little Rotting Rat” is aimed at someone who has done real damage, with lines like “You fucked me up / With a smile on your face” and “I wish you all the best / The best of suffering” saying more than enough on their own.
