AFRICA.ROCKS corrects factual errors promptly and transparently.
What we correct
Corrections apply to factual mistakes, including:
- names, credits, line-ups, roles
- release titles, labels, formats, dates
- tracklists, venues, locations, and event details
- misquotation, incorrect attribution, or misleading context presented as fact
Minor typos that do not change meaning may be corrected without a note.
How to request a correction
Email joelcosta@africa.rocks with:
- the article URL
- the specific error
- the correct information
- supporting evidence where available (official statement, label page, Bandcamp, distributor listing, venue listing, or direct confirmation)
How we publish corrections
When a factual error is confirmed:
- we update the article as soon as possible
- we add a correction note at the end of the article, stating what was changed and when
- if the error is substantial, we may also update the headline or the opening paragraph for clarity
Updates vs corrections
Some pieces evolve. For example, a release date may change after publication. In such cases, we will mark the change as an update when appropriate.
