Coverage Packs

For labels, PR teams and management companies outside Africa, entering the African rock and metal space is rarely straightforward. Our Coverage Packs offer a simple and affordable way to place artists inside that conversation through AFRICA.ROCKS, the daily platform built specifically around it.

AFRICA.ROCKS is a daily platform dedicated to African rock and metal, covering different scenes across the continent while reaching readers well beyond it. In its first three months, the site welcomed readers from 86 countries, while its social media content reached more than 1 million accounts. For artists, labels and PR teams outside Africa, that means a credible way into the African rock and metal space through a specialist outlet already reaching readers in and beyond the continent.

These plans are built around recurring coverage on AFRICA.ROCKS itself. For wider campaign support beyond the site, including broader African media outreach, please visit Metal PR Africa.

Rates

€70 – 2 releases
€120 – 5 releases
€180 – 8 releases

These fees help fund both the coverage included in each package and the wider work behind AFRICA.ROCKS. That means daily editorial activity, site maintenance, and initiatives developed around African bands, including Soundcheck, sampler CDs, and PR opportunities aimed at giving artists from the continent more visibility.

What guaranteed coverage means

Guaranteed coverage is delivered as a mix of formats across the releases booked.

Every release includes a news piece as standard. Audio and video premieres are also included where relevant. In addition, every release is guaranteed at least one of the following: an interview, a review, both, or a feature, depending on the release and the campaign.

This applies across the full package, so each eligible release receives both its news piece and at least one additional form of coverage.

The exact mix is shaped by the release schedule, the material provided and the package booked.

What counts as an eligible release

Eligible releases include singles, EPs, albums, splits, compilations and reissues.

Submission timing

Full materials can be sent at any point after booking. For the best scheduling options, and especially for premieres where relevant, we recommend sending everything 7 to 10 days before the official release date whenever possible.

Editorial control

All headlines, final wording, image use, scheduling and publishing decisions remain with AFRICA.ROCKS.
