Mythos sign with Darkside Records

The Alexandria band have started a new chapter with Darkside Records, with new music on the way and a bass lineup change arriving at the same time.

Darkside Records has announced the signing of Mythos, bringing the Egyptian band into a new phase just as fresh material starts to come into view. The label says upcoming singles and the band’s next EP are on the way.

Mythos have been active since 2011 and are based in Alexandria, and over the years they have built a solid place for themselves in Egypt’s heavy scene. In a separate statement, Mythos confirmed that bassist Mohamed Mohie has left the band. They said goodbye in personal terms, looking back on the years they shared together, then welcomed Malek Mohamed as the new bassist.

The Darkside signing, the promise of new music, and the change on bass all place Mythos at the start of a new chapter.
