Vígljós have been forced to cancel the Daisy Jones date of their current African tour.
Emalyth confirmed the change, explaining that the band’s return flight from South Africa was altered by the airline due to the current tensions in the Middle East. The promoter said efforts were made to find another workable date, but the show can no longer go ahead.
The Cape Town date at Armchair Theatre on 11 June is still happening, giving fans one more chance to catch the Swiss band live in South Africa.
The Daisy Jones bill will also continue with its local line-up. The Fallen Prophets, Corpse Fortress and Strage remain on the show, and Cape Town’s Doomtrigger have now been added so the event can still go ahead.
Vígljós came into this African run with two full-length records already out, Tome I: apidæ and Tome II: ignis sacer, released in 2024 and 2025. The tour began in Kenya, with shows at Shelter in Nairobi and The Terrace in Kilifi, before moving through Botswana, South Africa and Mozambique.
Tome II: ignis sacer is available now on Bandcamp in digital format, as well as on CD, cassette and vinyl.
