Vígljós set African tour for May and June 2026

Swiss black metal band Vígljós will head to Africa in late May and early June for a run through Kenya, Botswana, Mozambique and South Africa, with 13 dates announced so far and one secret show still under wraps.

Vígljós come into this run with two full-length records already out, Tome I: apidæ and Tome II: ignis sacer, released in 2024 and 2025. Now the band are bringing that material to African stages across East and Southern Africa.

The tour opens on 23 May at Shelter in Nairobi, followed by The Terrace in Kilifi on 24 May. From there, Vígljós head to Botswana for dates at Molapo Creative Hub in Gaborone, If Not Why Club in Letlhakane, Hilltalk Nightclub in Ghanzi and Masters Valley in Maun. The run then moves through Railways in Pretoria, Gil Vicente Bar in Maputo, a secret show on 6 June, Westville Warehouse in Durban, Music Kitchen in Gqeberha, Arm Chair in Cape Town and Aandklas in Stellenbosch.
