Darkside Records signs Algerian metal act Dusk

Morocco-based label Darkside Records has added Algiers veterans Dusk to its roster, with a new EP set for release via the Casablanca imprint.

Based in Morocco and operating since 2014, Darkside Records has announced the latest addition to its roster: Algerian band Dusk.

Active since 2001, Dusk only began releasing studio material two decades later, starting with the single “Generation” in 2022, followed by the EP The New Land in 2023. Like many of their peers, the band has faced the harsh realities of making metal in Africa, where limited resources often translate into long periods of silence.

Now, the Algiers outfit is gearing up for a new chapter, with a new EP scheduled for release through the Casablanca-based label. In a message shared on social media, the band said they were “honoured and proud to join the Darkside Records family,” thanking the label for its trust and encouragement.
