Corrections Policy

AFRICA.ROCKS corrects factual errors promptly and transparently.

What we correct

Corrections apply to factual mistakes, including:

  • names, credits, line-ups, roles
  • release titles, labels, formats, dates
  • tracklists, venues, locations, and event details
  • misquotation, incorrect attribution, or misleading context presented as fact

Minor typos that do not change meaning may be corrected without a note.

How to request a correction

Email joelcosta@africa.rocks with:

  • the article URL
  • the specific error
  • the correct information
  • supporting evidence where available (official statement, label page, Bandcamp, distributor listing, venue listing, or direct confirmation)

How we publish corrections

When a factual error is confirmed:

  • we update the article as soon as possible
  • we add a correction note at the end of the article, stating what was changed and when
  • if the error is substantial, we may also update the headline or the opening paragraph for clarity

Updates vs corrections

Some pieces evolve. For example, a release date may change after publication. In such cases, we will mark the change as an update when appropriate.
