Campos Ritual unleash studio version of Mastodon’s “Blood and Thunder”

Recorded in Luanda, the new release from Campos Ritual revisits a classic by Mastodon, blending generational legacy with the rising force of Angola’s rock and metal scene.

The Angolan project Campos Ritual have shared their studio take on “Blood and Thunder”, originally performed by Mastodon.

The project brings together Manuel Campos (Manel Kavalera) and Guilherme Campos. It is a father-and-son collaboration, built around the idea of carrying musical references and experience from one generation to the next within the rock scene. The track was recorded, edited and mastered at Estúdio 2 in Luanda by Tiago Oliveira. Frink Sanda and Ariel Ricardo also appear on the session.
