Three South African metal bands will cross into Mozambique on 5 September 2026 for Convergir, a one-night event bringing together musicians from both countries at Gil Vicente Café Bar in Maputo.
The South African side of the bill features Durban’s Your Cynical Sanity alongside Johannesburg bands Walk These Skies and Hilliker. They will be joined by Mozambican acts The Lost Grave and Ectogenesis. The event takes its name from the Portuguese word “convergir”, meaning to move or come together towards the same point. Ectogenesis return to the bill after representing Mozambique at the Wacken Metal Battle Africa final in Johannesburg earlier this year.
Convergir takes place at Gil Vicente Café Bar on Avenida Samora Machel. Entry costs 400 MT, and merchandise will be available at the venue.
