Gasymetalhead has announced a two-date extreme metal event under the name GASYMETALHEAD SHOW – KEEP THRASHING, starting this Sunday, 12 April, at Badass Motorcycle Community in Andranobevava, Antananarivo, before a second stop on 19 April at Alliance Française d’Antsirabe.
The lineup brings together four names from the Malagasy scene: West Bullet, Zanak’Adala, Martz and 669.
West Bullet are a young thrash/crossover band from Antananarivo, and one of the newer names on the bill. Last month they released their first official video, “Not Enough”, tying the song to the recent unrest in Madagascar.
Zanak’Adala come from Antsirabe and have been around longer. Their own channel describes them as a Malagasy thrash metal band formed in 2013 by Mamy Harison and Toods Harison, while online discography listings point to the 2022 release Betrayed By Entertainment.
Martz sit on the older end of the lineup: Gasymetalhead describe them as one of Madagascar’s pioneers of thrash metal and death metal, formed in 1990.
669 are the newest of the four, a death metal band from Antananarivo whose first official video, “TSY MATY”, came out in March.
