Tombstone are officially off the mark. The Moroccan band have just released Spiders Sting Harder Than Their Masters, a four-track debut EP out now from Agadir. The record runs through “Tombstone”, “I Am Chaos”, “True Evil” and the title track, and is available digitally through Bandcamp, with the band also pointing listeners to streaming platforms.
The EP was written by Zine El Yousfi and Imane Naim, who also produced it, with audio engineering handled by El Yousfi. On the vocal side, Aissam El Hassani appears on “I Am Chaos” and “True Evil”, Zakaria Najim is credited as co-lyricist on “True Evil”, and Ryan Michael Coby handles lyrics and vocals on “Spiders Sting Harder Than Their Masters”.
The band have described it plainly as their debut EP and dedicated it to “our brother, friend, and supporter Yacin S.”, adding that he remains “forever in our hearts.” The cover art was done by IC Brutalart. For a first release, it is a solid opening statement from a new extreme metal name out of Agadir.
