Skinflint are tracking guitars for new album

Botswana heavy metal band Skinflint are back in the studio tracking guitars for a new album, while also working on what they describe as a "special project" to be announced soon.

Skinflint have confirmed that work is underway on their next album.

The Gaborone band shared a short studio update on social media, saying they are “tracking guitars for the new album and a special project”, with more details to follow.

The news comes after Skinflint’s latest full-length album, Baloi, released independently on 25 October 2024. The record included “Ritual War”, “Serpent Men” and “Lentswe La Baratani”.

The band have also shared new live footage of “Ritual War”, filmed at March of the Gods Fest 2026. Introducing the clip, Skinflint wrote: “Make sure to turn the volume up and bang your heads. Keep the fire burning!”

No release date has been announced yet for the new album.
