VIVA NOISE hits Rumours Lounge on 1 May with Lower Hollow, Hiraeth, Schmät and Anti-Lover

Dream District brings a four-band alternative / metalcore / punk bill to Rumours Lounge in Randburg on Friday, 1 May (19:00–23:50). Earlybirds start at R60 on Quicket.

Dream District has announced VIVA NOISE, a four-band bill that sits across alternative, metalcore and punk. It’s happening at Rumours Lounge in Randburg on Friday, 1 May, running from 19:00 to 23:50.

The lineup is Lower Hollow, Hiraeth, Schmät and Anti-Lover.

Lower Hollow come in as Johannesburg melodic hardcore with an atmospheric metalcore edge. Their latest release is a new single: a cover of Type O Negative’s “I Don’t Wanna Be Me”, released on 23 February 2026 via Mongrel Records. They’ve been active since 2022, with two full-lengths already out and plenty of road time across South Africa.

Hiraeth are a Gauteng-based progressive/melodic metal band. On streaming, their releases include the 2022 single “The Everlasting Pain of Loss”, plus earlier material like the Aeonian EP (2020) and the “Lucid” single (2019).

Schmät are Afrikaans “skollie-punk” from Johannesburg – raw, fast, straight to the point. Their latest release on is “Pappa soek ’n Porsche”, a single that dropped on 2 January 2026. Before that, they put out the GODT HARDT EP (April 2025).

Anti-Lover sit on the DIY end of the punk/hardcore/emo overlap.

VIVA NOISE takes place at Rumours Lounge (CR Swart Dr & Tungsten Rd, Strydompark, Randburg).

Tickets are phased:
Phase 1 (Earlybird): R60 via Quicket
Phase 2: R80 via Quicket
Phase 3: R120 via Quicket / R120 at the door
