Vulvodynia added to Germany’s Deathfeast Open Air 2026

South Africa’s Vulvodynia are heading to Andernach, Germany, for Deathfeast Open Air 2026, set for August 20–22 - with 'Entabeni' still the most recent full-length and new music teased for 2026.

Deathfeast Open Air is down to its final stretch of announcements, and one of the last names on the 2026 bill comes from South Africa: Vulvodynia.

They’re a Durban-rooted band that’s spent the last decade pushing a slam-heavy take on deathcore and brutal death metal out into the wider underground. Vulvodynia have played Deathfeast Open Air before, and the festival is bringing them back for this 2026 edition in Andernach.

On record, the latest full-length is Entabeni, released in 2024 on Unique Leader. It’s a good snapshot of where they’re at right now: more polished than their early material, still built for impact, and packed with guest spots (including Damonteal Harris, David Simonich, and Kyle Medina).

Since that album cycle, they’ve stayed active in the wider deathcore orbit too. In 2025, they teamed up with Nylist for the standalone track “Ghost”, a short, sharp collab that keeps the brutality dialled in without needing an album rollout.

As for what people will see on stage in 2026: the band’s lineup has been in motion lately, and they’ve confirmed Lwandile Prusent is handling vocal duties for their remaining shows this year.

Deathfeast Open Air 2026 runs August 20–22 in Andernach, Germany. Vulvodynia are now officially part of that lineup – and with only a few announcements left, the full poster isn’t far off.
