We Kill Cowboys drop new single with Doomtrigger’s Jay Smith

Cape Town’s We Kill Cowboys have released “Cowboys of Doom”, a new single featuring Doomtrigger vocalist Jay Smith. It’s out now on all platforms, it’s the first taste of the band’s upcoming debut full-length album, and the track is currently featured on the cover of Spotify’s SA Rock playlist.

Cape Town’s We Kill Cowboys have released “Cowboys of Doom” featuring Jay Smith from Doomtrigger. It’s out now on all major platforms and it’s the first single from the band’s first full-length album, with a video promised for next week. The release has already picked up early editorial traction on Spotify, with “Cowboys of Doom” added to playlists across multiple territories and currently featured on the cover of the platform’s SA Rock playlist.

“Cowboys of Doom” was produced, mixed and mastered by Floris Le Roux, who now also joins the band on second guitar.

Both We Kill Cowboys and Doomtrigger are also confirmed for SLAMFEST 2026, set to take place on 7 March at Daisy Jones Bar in Stellenbosch, placing the collaborators on the same stage shortly after the single’s release.
