Aliens In Oceans are a new name out of Cape Town, South Africa, built around rhythm guitarist James Mitchell and vocalist Ross Sinclair. The lineup came together in late 2025 with drummer Aidan Kruger, lead guitarist Jesse Bailey-Brugge and bassist Ian Neethling, giving the band its full shape.
Now they have released their first single, “FAFO”, together with a video shot by KR6 Productions and Tyler Williams Photos. The track is also out across streaming platforms.
Musically, “FAFO” sits between metalcore and post-hardcore, but the band is clearly pushing it with a direct emotional edge. The song deals with betrayal, broken trust and the kind of fallout that comes when someone keeps crossing lines for too long. As the band explain it, the track draws from the old idea that what goes around comes around. Sooner or later, the energy people put into the world finds its way back to them.
That feeling runs through the whole song. “FAFO” is angry, personal and blunt, written from the perspective of someone finally cutting ties after being dragged down for too long. The lyrics move through manipulation, exhaustion and release, before landing on the phrase that gives the single its title.
