Atreyu tap Brazil’s Max Cavalera for new single “Children Of Light”

The California metalcore band's new song features the former Sepultura frontman ahead of next album "The End Is Not The End", due April 24.

California metalcore band Atreyu have released new single “Children Of Light”, featuring guest vocals from Brazilian metal veteran Max Cavalera. The song is taken from the band’s upcoming tenth studio album “The End Is Not The End”, set for release on April 24 through Spinefarm.

In a statement on the song, Atreyu said “Children Of Light” was written with “a primal spirit” and described it as “heavily inspired by classic Sepultura”, adding that they specifically wanted the former Sepultura and current Soulfly frontman involved on the track. “It’s an honour to share this song with a legend,” the band said.

Atreyu formed in Yorba Linda, California in 1998 and the current line-up features Brandon Saller, Dan Jacobs, Travis Miguel, Porter McKnight and Kyle Rosa. “The End Is Not The End” will be the band’s tenth full-length.
