Homosapien share “Sabra Cadabra” cover tribute ahead of their 2026 album

South Africa’s Homosapien salute Ozzy Osbourne with a melodic death metal cover of Black Sabbath’s “Sabbra Cadabra,” as they work towards their second album, due later in 2026.

South Africa’s Homosapien have released a Black Sabbath cover as a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, with their take on “Sabra Cadabra” now streaming on all major platforms.

Homosapien are a melodic death metal duo, built around Nic Franks (vocals, guitars) and Kieran Tavener-Smith (guitars, bass, programming). Their sound pulls from classic thrash and melodic death metal, with a flash of 1980s glam in the mix.

The cover arrives as the band keep momentum going this year. Homosapien released their self-titled debut album Homosapien in October 2024, played live in support of it, and are now developing their second full-length, Dead King’s Portrait, scheduled for release in 2026.
