Lomor announced for Hellfest 2026

The Réunion Island thrash band will perform at Hellfest Open Air Festival after the release of their acclaimed second album 'Sabouk Rouge'.

Lomor have officially been added to the lineup for Hellfest Open Air Festival, with the Réunion Island thrash outfit set to perform on the Hellstage on 17 June 2026 at 20:00.

The announcement was made by the band through social media, where they thanked Keuf Metal Inc. “for the trust” while celebrating the news with fans. The appearance marks a major milestone for a group emerging from one of the most geographically isolated heavy music scenes connected to the French underground.

Based in Réunion Island in the Indian Ocean, Lomor have steadily built a reputation through a sharp and aggressive thrash sound rooted equally in classic Bay Area intensity and contemporary production weight. Their latest album, Sabouk Rouge, pushed the band to wider attention through its focus on the island’s history of slavery, forced labour and inherited violence.

Released as the band’s sophomore full-length, Sabouk Rouge used thrash metal as a vehicle to confront historical brutality directly. Tracks like “Meet Your Meat”, “Sanctuary” and “La Haine” balanced speed and aggression with a broader thematic ambition, while the album’s title referenced the “sabouk,” the whip historically used during slavery on the island.

The upcoming Hellfest appearance places the band on one of Europe’s most visible heavy music stages and continues a growing international recognition for artists emerging from Réunion’s underground scene.
