Botswana’s Raven In Flesh have completed the recording sessions for their debut album.
The band confirmed that the material is now fully recorded, bringing the first stage of the album to a close. Mixing and mastering will follow before further release details are announced.
The sessions were handled by Jethro Harris. Raven In Flesh initially wanted to take a different route, but said their plans changed after meeting Harris earlier this year and finding that they shared the same ideas for the record. “What followed was more than a recording session. It was a brotherhood forged in steel”, the band said.
Raven in Flesh also thanked the people who helped finance and support the album, including those who bought merchandise, attended the band’s exclusive show, provided equipment, contributed their skills and shared the band’s work: “This album carries your mark as much as ours”, they said. “The strength of the Tswanian Black Metal Legion has been overwhelming, and we are deeply grateful for every act of support.”
The band also thanked Bad Nasty and praised Harris for his work on the recordings: “A true genius and a brother. No words can give enough credit for what he has brought to these hymns.”
With recording complete, Raven In Flesh have now stepped away briefly before the mixing and mastering process begins.
“The work is not yet done. Mixing and mastering await. Soon, the darkness will speak, and these hymns will belong to all of us.”
The debut album’s title, tracklist and release date have yet to be announced.
