Catharsis thank fans following Mors Et Moriens release show

Egyptian symphonic death/doom metal band Catharsis have thanked fans following the release show for Mors Et Moriens, held at Room Art Space in Cairo on 2 July 2026.

The event took place at the Garden City venue and marked the live celebration of the band’s latest EP. Egydeath also appeared on the bill.

Reflecting on the night, Catharsis said the response from the audience made the release feel real after a long period of work and anticipation.

“A simple ‘thank you’ could never truly express what we felt tonight,” the band said.

“To every single person who stood with us, sang with us, screamed with us and shared this night with us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The love, energy and overwhelming support you gave us was something we will never forget. Tonight was the celebration of a journey, the release of Mors Et Moriens, and a moment we had dreamed about for a very long time. Seeing so many faces gathered together, feeling every note resonate through the room and witnessing your passion made it all feel real. You gave these songs life. You made this night unforgettable. We are endlessly grateful to everyone who came, supported us and became part of this chapter of Catharsis. We hope tonight gave you even a fraction of the joy and emotion that you gave us. Until we meet again, thank you for making this one of the most beautiful nights of our lives.”

Before the event, the band had also announced Hannah Selim as their new vocalist and confirmed that they were already working on new material with her.
