South Africa’s PLUM have returned with “Reach Out”, a new single accompanied by a new music video.
The track deals with losing direction, facing past mistakes and looking for a way back through faith, connection and surrender. Built around two voices that reflect confession and support, “Reach Out” moves through regret, hope and the idea that healing can still be possible after a person has reached a breaking point.
The video follows a woman trying to save someone in crisis. As she moves through fragmented glimpses of a life that could have been hers, the story turns inward. The person she is trying to reach is herself.
The video was directed, edited and conceived by James Botha, who also worked as camera technician. Production was handled by James Botha and Warren Leicher. It stars Nicci Niehaus and Warren Leicher, with wardrobe by Nicci Niehaus. The video was filmed at Smudge Technologies, with lighting by The Paris Edit.
