Vulvodynia have announced Maya Pobst as their new vocalist.
Pobst, who also fronts Burial Path, joins the South African brutal death metal band following the open auditions launched earlier this year. She will make her first appearances with Vulvodynia during the band’s forthcoming European dates, which began on 26 July in Cham, Germany.
The announcement ends the latest search for a permanent vocalist following Zion Bittenbender’s departure earlier in 2026.
Pobst enters the group as Vulvodynia prepare to introduce new material on tour. The band have confirmed that an unreleased single will be played during the European run, alongside songs from Psychosadistic Design as part of the album’s tenth-anniversary celebrations.
The tour includes festival appearances at Tolminator in Slovenia and Brutal Assault in the Czech Republic, as well as dates in Germany, Poland, the Netherlands and Slovakia.
Vulvodynia’s upcoming dates are:
26 July — La Life Style Cafe, Cham, Germany
27 July — Tolminator, Tolmin, Slovenia
30 July — Hype Park, Kraków, Poland
1 August — Free & Easy Festival, Munich, Germany
2 August — Schlachthof, Wiesbaden, Germany
3 August — HAL 25, Alkmaar, Netherlands
6 August — Pink Whale, Bratislava, Slovakia
8 August — Brutal Assault, Jaroměř, Czech Republic
