Jugulator announce new concept album

Algerian thrash metal band Jugulator have announced a new album centred on NULA, a laboratory-created child designed to carry memories of future catastrophes.

Jugulator have revealed the concept behind their forthcoming album, Nula … The Inverted Son.

The story begins after humanity survives the war against Imperator Insector, though billions have died and entire cities have been destroyed. With the world afraid of repeating the decisions that brought it close to extinction, political leaders and scientists develop a new plan.

Using cloning, genetic engineering and artificial memory technology, they create a child capable of remembering events that have not yet happened. The project is intended to identify future disasters before they occur. The child is named NULA.

The new album continues the narrative established through Jugulator’s conflict with Imperator Insector and shifts the focus towards cloning, political control, public fear and the consequences of trying to manage the future.

The artwork was created by Mustapha Design.
