Sunken State to headline Emalyth’s July Jol Vol. 4

South African promoters Emalyth have announced the first name for July Jol Vol. 4, with Sunken State set to headline at Sognage on 25 July.

Emalyth have started the line-up reveal for July Jol Vol. 4.

The South African event will take place on 25 July at Sognage, with Sunken State confirmed as the first announced band and headliner for the night.

The show will also mark Sunken State’s first Emalyth appearance of 2026. Emalyth described the band as “the most brutal boytjies from Hate City” and confirmed that they will return to the Sognage main stage for this edition of July Jol. Emalyth have confirmed that another 11 bands are still to be announced.
