Poisoned Blood release “Twilight Of Eminence” from upcoming album Throne Killer

The Zambian project’s new single features Nate Jacobs of The Crypt, with artwork by Sam Lozoff.

Poisoned Blood have released “Twilight Of Eminence”, the first single from the upcoming album Throne Killer.

The new track features Nate Jacobs of the US band The Crypt and is available now through Poisoned Blood’s Bandcamp page. Artwork for the single was created by Sam Lozoff.

Speaking about the song, Poisoned Blood’s Mwango Lunda explained that “Twilight Of Eminence” deals with the collapse of powerful people and kingdoms.

“Twilight Of Eminence is about prominent people and kingdoms eventually coming to their end,” he says. “Throughout history, empires have risen and fallen. At their highest peak, they experienced a twilight of their eminence.”

Jacobs follows the same idea in his own writing for the track: “I always like to write about kingdoms and ‘great’ people falling to their worthy end,” he says.

The single follows Poisoned Blood’s 2026 album African Metal United, where Mwango Lunda brought together guest vocalists from across the African metal underground.
