Catharsis welcome new vocalist Hannah Selim

Egyptian symphonic death/doom metal band Catharsis have added Hannah Selim as their new vocalist and confirmed that they are already working on new material together.

Egyptian symphonic death/doom metal band Catharsis have announced Hannah Selim as their new vocalist.

The band confirmed the addition through its official channels, introducing Selim as the latest member of the line-up.

Catharsis said her voice, commitment and interest in symphonic death/doom metal will play a central role in the band’s next material.

“With her powerful voice, passion and dedication to the art of symphonic death/doom metal, Hannah brings a new dimension to our sound as we enter the next chapter of the band’s journey,” the band stated.

The announcement also confirms that Catharsis have already been working on new music with Selim, although no further details have been revealed.

“We are excited for what lies ahead and can’t wait for you to hear what we have been creating together.”

Selim joins Catharsis as the band prepares for its next period of activity following the release of Mors Et Moriens and the accompanying release show in Cairo.

Further information about the new material is expected at a later date.
