Metal Blast Festival has announced the first edition of Mist of the Desert, a new series of heavy metal events in Egypt.
The opening event will take place at Rawabet Art Space in downtown Cairo on Friday, 28 August 2026. Doors open at 6:30 PM, with the show beginning at 7:00 PM.
The bill features three Egyptian bands. Metalcore band Meltdown Lullaby will open the event, followed by progressive metal band Medic and melodic technical death metal band Veritatem Solam.
Mist of the Desert is presented as the next event series under the Metal Blast name, bringing together bands from different parts of Egypt’s metal scene in a central Cairo venue.
Organisers have advised people to buy tickets in advance due to the venue’s fixed capacity. Entry cannot be guaranteed once the event sells out.
Rawabet Art Space is located on Marouf Street, Qasr El Nil, in downtown Cairo.
