AFRICA.ROCKS will launch its new S25 physical edition series with No More Can Be Done, the debut album by Cape Town trio P+A+G+E+S.
S25 is an AFRICA.ROCKS initiative developed in partnership with Hyena Rocks to produce small physical editions of music from the African continent. Every release is issued as a digipak and is strictly limited to 25 CD copies.
The series is open exclusively to bands and artists from Africa, with priority given to full-length albums and EPs. Both new and previously released material can be considered. Applications are submitted through the dedicated S25 application form on AFRICA.ROCKS.
P+A+G+E+S were selected for the first edition with No More Can Be Done, originally released on 25 October 2025. The South African trio work across doom, atmospheric noise, drone and sludge/post-metal, with the album addressing existential anxiety, environmental decay, inequality and the political and social conditions surrounding the band in Cape Town.
AFRICA.ROCKS previously spoke with the band in depth about the ideas behind it. In that interview, P+A+G+E+S described the title as a reminder to continue even when circumstances feel hopeless: “Sometimes, just existing in your own integrity in a world that does not value it is an act of resistance in itself.”
The band also explained that their sound developed from an earlier post-rock project into something slower and heavier, retaining long-form composition, drone, atmosphere and noise while moving fully into doom and related forms of heavy music.
The CD will be sold in Europe through Hyena Rocks, the label behind AFRICA.ROCKS’ physical editions. Further details, including the release date of No More Can Be Done, will be announced in due course.
